Yaandina Community Services – Manager AOD Services

have a strong background in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) management and a desire to lead impactful programs? If so, Yaandina Community Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced AOD Manager to join our team.

ABOUT US:
Yaandina Community Services is a non-profit organisation committed to empowering individuals and
strengthening communities in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. We provide a range of support
services, including a 24 bed Therapeutic Community Rehabilitation Centre, Low-med Detox & Sobering Up Centre, and community outreach programs, with a focus on Indigenous communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement operational plans for the AOD program in alignment with the organisation’s
strategic plan, mission and goals.
Provide leadership and supervision to a team of AOD practitioners and support staff.
Oversee the delivery of culturally sensitive AOD services to individuals and families, including
assessment, counselling, and case management.
Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies,
community organisations, and healthcare providers.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data reporting requirements
and accreditation standards. Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness through data
collection and analysis.
Participate in budget development and financial management for the AOD program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Counselling, Public Health).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in AOD management or related roles with therapeutic community
experience. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, including staff development and
performance management. Strong understanding of AOD treatment principles, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care.
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and communities, with a commitment to cultural competence and
humility. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in program planning, evaluation, budget management and grant writing efforts to support
program sustainability and growth.
