The ATCA Therapeutic Community (TC) Training Course has been specifically written for Australian audiences and adapted from the Aotearoa New Zealand context, developed by Matua Raki. The key aim of the course is to support AOD practitioners, support workers and others relevant professionals to develop knowledge, attitudes and skills that can be applied in the TC context. The course applies to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds, including executives, managers, frontline practitioners, and administrative staff working in TCs, Residential Rehabilitation Services (RRS) and other ATCA member services, or those wanting to work in the TC environment.

Course outcomes
Course participants will develop an understanding of TC theory, principles, practices and key
concepts. Through interactive workshop activities, participants will demonstrate the ability to
effectively apply their learnings and understanding of the key concepts and principles.
