The Buttery’s Therapeutic Community (TC) is open to any NSW resident aged 18 years and over. All participants undertake a phone assessment before joining. Set in the Byron Bay Hinterland, the TC has 34 beds including several specialised beds within the program to support different participant needs. The program is delivered as one unified model and is structured across three stages. Each stage includes group therapy, counselling, case management and education and a range of holistic wellbeing activities (such as yoga, meditation and exercise).
The TC is a residential program, helping people with alcohol and/or substance misuse to find lasting recovery. Under the TC model, participants provide a mutually supportive environment for recovery.
